What’s on the table?: Elevation Burger

What is Elevation Burger?

Elevation burger is an organic fast casual restaurant that was conceived in 2002 by founder and owner Hans Hess. He opened the first restaurant in September 2005, in Falls Church, Virginia, and was called “the first organic burger joint” by Saveur magazine. (source: Wikipedia)

Currently, Elevation Burger has one branch in Qatar located at The Pearl. We went there a few weeks ago to try it out.

When we got there, the place wasn’t busy and full. They had a casual outdoor and indoor dining area which were both clean plus interiors were mostly in blue and white with wooden furniture which gave the restaurant a modern/chill vibe.

Like most fast food joints, elevation burger had it’s own counter where you have to place your order and the list of food items are mounted on the wall for easy reference. Though unlike the usual fast food joints, they do not offer value meals (so burgers, fries and drinks are all sold separately) and you are encouraged to customize your burgers and fries.

For our orders, we both opted to try the cheeseburger with our own choice of toppings and sauces. I (Karen) selected lettuce, pickles, caramelized onions, elevation burger sauce and mayo to go with my burger and Allyson asked for lettuce, tomato and elevation burger sauce for hers. We also both had the fancy fries, which is basically french fries with melted cheese generously drizzled on top but Allyson also asked for mayo and ketchup on her order.

Now what we both liked about these burgers were the buns and patties. The buns were soft/moist and the patties were really juicy. The beef patties did not have that “beefiness” taste to it which I (Karen) loved because I do not normally gravitate towards red meat due to that “beefiness” taste. I guess it’s because their burgers are 100% organic. As for the fries, it was just average and nothing special. Their selling point is really the organic beef burger patties that they serve.

Our bill for 2 amounted to roughly 150-200 Qatar Riyals so it is definitely pricey than the regular fast food joint but it’s because the quality you get is higher than the usual.

Honestly, we think they can still improve on the taste of both the burger and fries so for us we give this place a rating of (3.8 / 5). If you are health conscious and willing to spend almost 30 Qatar Riyals for a burger then go and drop them a visit.

Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your article seem to be running off the screen in Firefox.
I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to
do with internet browser compatibility but I figured I’d
post to let you know. The layout look great though!

Hope you get the problem solved soon. Cheers
