#BeSocialBrunch at Aramede + Vlog

Scrumptious food, great atmosphere with gorgeous ladies. What more could we ask for?

We were lucky enough to be invited by Doaa of Hungry Birds Doha to a lovely brunch organized by Crowne Plaza Business Park for their new brunch concept which they call the “Be Social Brunch” at their Aramede Restaurant. Now you might be wondering why they came up with such an idea. Eunice, our host and Public Relations Manager, explained that most people during brunch are on their mobile phones. Since it’s difficult to force guests to put down their phones, they thought of incorporating it to their brunch and have guests share their experience by using the hashtag #besocialbrunch on twitter or instagram or other social media channels. Smart right?

DSC05948We started off with a food tour and this cupcake wall which was located near the entrance of the restaurant was our first stop. They had numerous flavors and options to choose from. Can you believe that there are 400 cupcakes on this wall?

DSC05909We then moved to the next area which were basically appetizers like salads and food items with oriental influences such as dumplings, Thai curry and vegetable tempura. If you want starters with a Mediterranean flair, they also served tabbouleh, caprese salad and other similar items. It all looked so tempting to eat but of course we had to control ourselves since we were still on the food tour.

DSC05915Moving on, we were directed to the main courses. They literally had everything you can think of from kebabs, shish tawouks to beef rib eye with pepper gravy, crab (penang style), Duck with Bok Choy and Seafood with Thyme & Tomatoes to name a few. Aren’t you drooling yet just looking at the pictures?? We surely were excited to try all of it but my (Karen) personal favorite was the duck. The meat was cooked perfectly and wasn’t dry at all.

DSC05923Their best seller though were the seafood and we can understand why. They had so much to offer! They had fresh shrimps, squid, mussels, oysters and octopus! Guess who was salivating over this section? As you would expect, it’s Allyson the seafood lover. Since there was an option to request the chef to cook the seafood according to your preference, Allyson took advantage of that and indulged herself with what she liked most which was buttered garlic shrimp!

DSC05927Of course they didn’t leave out the sushi and sashimi. They had quesadillas and nachos too which were surprising to see as these aren’t served very often at brunch.

DSC05934Personally, we both aren’t the biggest fans of cheese but if you are then this would be heaven for you!

DSC05936Pair it with bread too because they had a huge selection to choose from.

DSC05946Last on the food tour but certainly not the least were the desserts. They really thought of everything, from ice cream to cakes to chocolate fondue. We really mean it when we say there is truly something for everyone!

Obviously, right after the food tour, all of us headed straight to the buffet and took a bit of everything to sample and savor. We weren’t disappointed at all and as if all of the food they served weren’t enough, our generous and gracious host even provided us with their really delicious chicken satay with peanut sauce & pepperoni pizza.

DSC05952We must admit that we were treated very well and were a little bit spoiled. We truly enjoyed every bite we had. The whole dining experience was divine and lovely. Not to miss the fact that we relished it with a remarkable bunch of ladies from different walks of life who shared amazing stories about their lives in Qatar and their families. It was pleasant to meet everyone and get the opportunity to socialize and mingle with them.

DSC05958We highly recommend you guys try out their brunch happening every Friday from 12.30PM to 4.00PM which costs  QAR 255 (without alcohol) and QAR 333 (with alcohol). It is without a doubt worth every penny since they offer a huge variety of food items to choose from. Everyone will have something to dig into no matter what their preference is. It was truly remarkable to see that they didn’t stick to a particular theme or cuisine for brunch. They had it all! The food was delectable and at the end of the brunch no one was left hungry or dissatisfied. Everyone, including us, praised the awesome spread that Aramede prepared.

We cannot end this post without commending the hardworking staff. They were so attentive not just to us since we noticed they took great care of their other guests as well. The hospitality was present throughout our stay even though the restaurant was busy.

Here’s a short clip of our brunch experience:
