Personal Style: Monochromatic VS Jewel Tones

One of our differences when it comes to fashion is the color scheme we stick to. Can you guess who loves incorporating color in their wardrobe and who sticks to mostly the black & white hues? I (Karen) love color plus mixing and matching different shades and I am more experimental than Allyson when it comes to this area. Allyson is the minimalist in our friendship so it is no surprise that she is into the monochrome look. Anyway, we hope you guessed correctly :).

This is what we wore in detail when we dropped by Panorama for a visit.

I went for the jewel tones like emerald and turquoise as seen on my top and statement necklace. I wanted that pop of color so I decided to wear my plum jeans instead of going for the usual denim. To balance it out and add some serious height to my stature, I slipped into my blush platforms which are definitely comfortable (though they don’t look like it).

Who said white on white is a no-no? I’ve recently purchased this white blazer at H&M a week ago so I was too excited to use it. I (Allyson) have been wanting to try a whiteout ensemble for quite sometime but then I was too coward to give it a go. So I made the baby steps. I started off by layering my plain white shirt with a long white blazer. I just love how clean and fresh you’ll look on a white outfit. I paired it with ankle length jeans and strappy heels to look a little bit casual. If you want to look more edgy, add up an oversized or a chunky neck piece!

So, are you monochromatic or kaleidoscopic?
