Personal Style: Black & White + Vlog

No matter when or where, Black and White is always a perfect combo.

We treated ourselves for a staycation a few weeks ago at the Grand Hyatt Doha (read it HERE) to unwind and relax from our busy week. Unfortunately, we just ended up making ourselves more tired than ever. Wondering why? Well coincidentally, Lil Jon performed on the same night of our stay! Given that we’re hip-hop lovers, it was an event that we couldn’t skip out on.

We knew that we were going to party hard that night so we decided to wear sneakers (for comfort of course!). Planning what to pair with the sneaks was the hardest since we always go to clubs with our high heels. Guess what? We both ended up wearing black and white and it was seriously unplanned.

There is no doubt that black and white would be my (Allyson) go-to colors when I’m having a hard time thinking of what to slip into. I’m pretty laid back therefore I chose a muscle tee with a bar code print and leatherette shorts which is suitable for a sweaty club scene. I didn’t go minimal this time around. I used a layered necklace and placed rings on my fingers to spice up my bland outfit.

I (Karen) didn’t have a clue as to what to wear as well, so I opted to don a white 3/4 sheer top along with black shorts. I love my colors but this time around with no other ideas, I decided to play safe and keep it a bit simple. You must be well aware by now that I love anything sparkly so to add that extra “oomph” to my whole look, I wore a statement necklace and a chunky ring to bring life to the ensemble.

For some reason, black and white are the safest colors you can wear anytime, anywhere. May it be running errands, going to school, work or even parties. This duo is universal that you can easily pair them up with almost anything, it saves you from worrying about color coordination. Black and white will always make you look voguish and will always be on trend, it just depends on how you’re going to play with it.

How would you add your own flare to these two tones?

Oh before we forget, here’s a short clip we’ve made for you guys who missed that wild night!:) Enjoy watching!
