Karlly Travels: A Photo Diary of Konya, Turkey

As promised, more Turkey related posts!! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Konya, which is a province in Turkey, was the destination on our fifth day of the tour. We only had two stops that day, the first being the Sultan Han which is a Seljuk caravanserai used as a rest stop by travelers in the previous centuries and the second was the Mevlana Museum. This museum has a turquoise dome and as per our tour guide turquoise symbolizes the sky. We did not have a packed day because we had to drive five hours to Pamukkale (which we will talk about on our next blog post). We consider our fifth day as the day of rest. What we did for the remaining hours of that day was to utilize the facilities of our hotel and talk to the new friends we made from our tour group. We had such tight schedules from the previous days in Turkey that it was refreshing to get the much needed break.
