With its elegant black and red interiors, Chi’Zen restaurant exudes a very high-class atmosphere without being extremely intimidating. My family and I had late lunch at the said outlet where we found it surprisingly bare (maybe it’s much lively during the evening); only 1 table was occupied when we arrived but after a few minutes we had the whole place to ourselves.
We were directed to our table by the host and upon taking our seats we were provided with the menu which we examined for some time. We finally decided on ordering the Duck Spring Roll & 3 Star Dumplings as appetizer and for our main courses we asked for the Stir-Fried Chicken, Chi’Zen Seafood Clay Pot plus lastly the Sizzling Lamb. Of course, Chinese food would not be complete without rice and noodles so we had the Shrimp & Chilli Fried Rice (mildly spicy), the Zen Fried Rice and the Sinchow Noodles.
The serving portions were quite generous and we still had some leftovers which we took home (can’t waste our money). In terms of food taste, some of the dishes were salty but overall it was good. Service was quick too and staff were attentive though not sure if it was because we were the only guests at the time. For all the food (plus drinks) we ordered the total bill amounted to roughly around QAR 500+ (5 pax). I would rate this outlet a (4 / 5) for the whole experience we had and my family was satisfied too which is a good sign since they’re a bit hard to please.
