A Spa-ctacular Day at Dado’s!

Probably by now everyone knows that we have our day jobs which can really be stressful especially these past few weeks. Due to our pretty hectic schedules, it is quite hard to squeeze in some time to fully unwind and get into our inner peace. We could not even remember the last time we had our spa date so we were overjoyed when we got an invite from Dado’s Beauty Center.

It was a Wednesday when we both got our schedule cleared for this anticipated pampering session. We were offered to try their signature Hammam (Turkish Bath) with hair wash and blow dry but instead of going with the latter, we decided to try their Manicure and Pedicure. Both of us haven’t experienced the Hammam yet so just imagine our excitement for it.

Upon arriving we instantly noticed the artsy fartsy displays and colorful furnitures they had. The place had a light, cool and girly vibe. We were welcomed by Carla, the Operations Manager, who gave us a form to fill up before starting our relaxing treatments. She also introduced us to our therapists for the Hammam, Michelle and Farina.

After completing the form, we were led to the locker plus changing rooms and we were asked to put on a disposable under garment and a robe. We honestly felt uncomfortable wearing those diposable undies. Haha! Maybe because we’re just not used to it. If you are like us, you can also bring an extra bikini just in case. Moving on, we were brought to separate treatment rooms for the hammam session.

Inside the hammam room you’ll find a shower area, a hammam table and a sauna with steam cubicle. It was a bit warm and lights were dim which really gave a calming vibe.

Basically the Hammam service started with a quick shower followed by a 10 minute session in the sauna to open up the pores which will ensure that the oils used during the hammam are soaked up by the skin. Afterwards, the body scrub commenced and as far as we know they used a sugar exfoliating scrub. We were then asked to rinse off so that the body mask could be applied next. The body mask had shea butter, lavender, etc. Shortly after the body mask application, we were encased in a plastic wrap and covered with a long towel. The plastic wrap is for a thorough absorption of essential oils through the skin. Hair mask, head and face massage followed. Sounds so heavenly, right? Again, we had to wash off the scrub and mask. Lastly, some oil was spread all over our bodies to fully give us that baby soft skin.

After each of our 75-minute hammam session, we met each other and our euphoric experience did not end there. We were now down to the nail care session – manis and pedis! Our nails were buffed, cleaned and polished. At the same time we had a swift hand and foot massage included with the package.

As soon as our polish dried up, we took the chance to snap some photos and check out the other facilities they had like the steam room, sauna, and Jacuzzi which we were told we could use prior to the hammam service.

Not only were the staff great in making us feel comfortable, the treatments were superb. The whole experience left us feeling refreshed plus rejuvinated. We highly recommend the Hammam treatment since it will really give your skin that supple feeling and Karen said she will go back next month as she truly enjoyed it. Just ensure you have ample time for the hammam service and book your appointment in advance!! 🙂
