Typical weekends for my family are mostly spent inside our cozy home yet recently I have managed to change that for us since I have slowly discovered a few more restaurants that offer the “business / express lunch” option during Saturdays. Another find is Elements Restaurant & Lounge at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel that offers a choice between a 2 or 3 course meal for QAR 85 / QAR 95 per person respectively. Plus after hearing such good comments from Allyson regarding their food, I just had to see what the fuss was all about.
It was a few weeks ago when my mom, sister and I visited the outlet which boasted an interior design inspired by the four elements; from the open kitchen that displays the use of fire to cook the Arabian, Asian & Indian dishes found on the outlet’s menu, the main dining area generally using wooden tables & a warm color tone palette symbolizing earth, the outdoor dining / lounge area inspired by air & the use of mirrored and metallic tiles to represent water.
Upon arrival at the outlet, we were directed by our welcoming hostess at a corner table with a view of the hotel. Immediately after that, we were approached by our server who handed us the business lunch menu we asked for and he then explained the selections they had for soup of the day & catch of the day. We asked for a few minutes to examine the menu in front of us. In that span of time the Outlet Manager approached us to check how we were doing plus took initiative to ask me if I wanted for her to take our photo since I was holding my camera in my hand. Of course I couldn’t say no to that and we called our server right after to place our orders.
Our choices for appetizers included California Maki Roll (4pcs), Marinated Salmon & Bibb Lettuce. Among the three starters the obvious stand out was the California Maki roll due to its bursting flavor thanks to the rich avocado. The opposite can be said about the Bibb lettuce as the dressing was a bit sour for our liking though tolerable enough to finish the serving.
For our main courses, my sister and I had the Shrimp Moilee which was so utterly creamy due to the coconut milk but the heaviness of this was counterbalanced by the parsley used to garnish the dish. It was truly delicious plus enjoyable that thinking about it makes me crave the Indian meal. Mom’s order of Crispy Baby Chicken was cooked flawlessly since the meat was so moist & tender plus the accompanying gravy was perfect and wasn’t too salty.
We couldn’t settle for just a 2-course meal and as a result we ordered a Vanilla Panna Cotta, New York Cheesecake & a Chocolate Decadence Tart with vanilla ice cream on the side to end what was an impeccable dining experience. The latter dessert however was too sweet for my mom & I but was just right for my sister so she ate most of it.
Suffice it to say, this outlet did exceed our expectations in terms of both service and food. The staff were welcoming ensuring a 5-star service was provided to their guests at all times with wide smiles across their faces. You’ll never feel intimidated to walk-in to this outlet therefore it should be no surprise that I would highly recommend it. Definitely a (5 / 5)! Book a table now! 🙂
