Aceite Continues to WOW Us

We’ve always been fans of Aceite’s food plus service and if you’ll ask us for a recommendation of a great restaurant in the city, we’ll have no doubt in our minds that Aceite would be one of our top suggestions. We’ve been here a handful of times already but every time we go, we often find ourselves much more impressed than the last instance we visited them. This has now allowed us to have a perception of how service is delivered and how the staff interacts with its patrons.

We were able to indulge ourselves with a scrumptious Spanish feast for lunch two weeks ago as part of our sponsored stay at Melia Doha (read it HERE). With all honesty, we were thrilled by the outlets’ ability to maintain the identical level of service & food quality as our previous visits.

For this lunch visit, the outlet took us on a culinary adventure by providing us a mix of different flavors. They prepared a significantly generous set menu for us to share starting with some appetizers like Pan Tumaca, Assorted Croquetas, Gambas al-Ajillo, Chipiones frito con aioli de tinta & Patatas Bravas. For our main course we were served with their signature dish, Paella! Instead of sticking with just seafood for the paella, we asked them to include some chicken as well. All the dishes were splendid as expected!

The calamari was the first dish that was devoured instantly since it surprisingly wasn’t chewy / overcooked which can be said of the Gambas as well though this was quite spicy but nothing too hot to handle.

We can’t say anything about the paella that we haven’t said before! This was so rich in flavor plus texture and was definitely a treat to eat. We never get tired of having this at the outlet.

For dessert, we had the classic custard and fresh fruits on the side that included kiwi, apples, pineapples, etc. with a small scoop of ice cream on top. The fruits were sadly sour as these may not have been in season but it didn’t really matter to us since we were so full from eating the spread that was cooked for us.

We didn’t only enjoy the food but we pretty much appreciated the staff’s effort to accommodate our requests and for being attentive. They had initiative to check on us without us having to call them and they were fast on their feet as they cleared out our empty plates to replace with fresh ones to begin the next course.

Big 2 thumbs up to this outlet! We definitely want to thank the whole team for such a lovely dining experience.
