New Delights at Max’s Restaurant

Surprisingly, we don’t think we have ever written about a Filipino restaurant in the two and a half years this blog has existed. Well that is going to change now as this post talks about a Philippine home grown brand called Max’s Restaurant. Since this is such a well loved establishment back home, it was no shock that majority of the Filipinos here flocked to get a taste of its famous fried chicken when it first opened its doors in Qatar.

Now there is another reason to visit Max’s Restaurant besides its well known “sarap to the bones” fried chicken! They have recently added new items to their existing menu. These are mostly grilled dishes that will surely entice & please anyone no matter their nationality. Luckily, we were given the opportunity to savor these new additions last Wednesday during their new menu tasting event that was made up of various attendees from different media companies and a few bloggers as well like Lenny, Dani & Gerald.

The event started with some welcome drinks and finger food to munch on plus a photo booth was also installed for everyone’s use (yes we did take a few silly photos of us in case you were wondering 🙂 ) Shortly after, dinner was served and the portions were really plentiful because they not only provided us with the new dishes [Boneless BBQ Chicken, Inihaw na Baka (Grilled Beef Ribs) & Inihaw na Hipon (Grilled Tiger Prawns)] but they even added the classics like Kare-Kare, Chopsuey & my (Karen) favorite Sizzling Tofu!

Inihaw na Baka

We really loved the Inihaw na Baka above anything else since it was perfectly cooked! The meat was so soft, we could literally tear it off easily from the bone (we were informed that this is slow cooked for 4 hours) and it was truly flavorful. It was so delicious that we even asked for a second serving (but not just for the both of us!).

Unfortunately though we could not stay for dessert so we snapped this photo for you! Looks so delicious right??

We highly suggest you check them out and give their new delights a try too especially the Inihaw na Baka. We are not just saying this cause we’re Filipinos but because you shouldn’t miss out on tasting truly delicious Filipino food!! 🙂
