Yoga on a Helipad at Fraser Suites West Bay

Well, we all know how difficult it is to maintain a healthy lifestyle as it requires complete dedication plus determination. We often times find ourselves falling through the cracks of old habits. But not to worry, because Fraser Suites West Bay has come up with an idea that will be beneficial to those who want to get their lives back on track in terms of physical fitness. The said apartel has introduced a promotion called “Yoga on the Pad” which includes an overnight weekend stay, yoga session on their helipad (during Friday & Saturday only for one hour starting from 4PM), plus buffet breakfast. So if you want to try something out of the ordinary, why not avail of this promotion over the coming weekend?

I was invited to try their weekend promotion last week and I am happy to report that my stay was quite comfortable and I did not face any issues worth complaining about. Their suite was spacious although the same can’t be said about the bathroom as I felt like it was too cramped.

The yoga session was not what I expected it to be as it was a mix of yoga with Pilates plus a little of aerobics. I would not recommend it for advanced yogis but if you are a novice, you might be interested to try it out because it will still give you a whole body workout while enjoying the breathtaking birds-eye-view of the city. Definitely worth it!

Besides the generous weekend stay invitation, they also asked me to dine at their main dining restaurant, The Social, to savor their Thanksgiving dinner set menu. It was a 4-course set menu that came with a soup, choice of salad, main course & dessert plus roast turkey carvings! The food that they served were all impressive but the main course (Slow Cooked Sous Vide Chicken Breast) was a dud for me. It was dry & overcooked so I did not finish the whole plate. The roast turkey, however, was quite the opposite. It was so soft to chew and impeccably flavored. The menu was priced at QAR 180/- only which was a bargain for the quality & quantity we got.

Breakfast items were limited but everything displayed in the buffet area was definitely something you would want to grab & put on your plate. I would use the word satisfactory to describe the whole breakfast experience.

Anyway, here’s a short video of my stay. Enjoy!!

Thank you Fraser Suites West Bay for the opportunity. Do check out their website for more information about their promotion (link below) or follow them on Instagram (@frasersuiteswestbay).
